overload stop meets high degree of protection |

For hygienic reasons, plants such as those for filling of drinks need to
be cleaned daily with special cleaning agents and water or steam. If
electric components are used there, they must meet the high degree of
protection IP68 or even IP69K. HBM is now introducing their platform
load cell PW25 to the market specifically for such applications. The new
platform load cell, which will initially be available with a maximum
capacity of 20 kg, is designed to be hermetically encapsulated. Load
cells with maximum capacity of 10 kg are in preparation. The housing
consists entirely of stainless steel so that the load cell is
insensitive to all cleaning and disinfection agents currently used in

The Panel Mount Load Cell (LPM200) offers distinct advantage in its

common challenge for low capacity sensors is the damage the sensor can

features structural changes and complete welding which drastically
improves this models output symmetry and accuracy. In addition to this,
the LCF400 is now available with USB output and metric threads. The

+/-10VDC, 4-20 mA), and uses heat-treated 17-4 Stainless Steel

Advanced Sensor Technology, Inc can now provide its fatigue rated
version of Pancake Load Cells LCF700 in 2.0 mV/V output: LCF701 Fatigue
Rated Pancake Load Cell. FUTEK can also provide this model with a
tension base. These load cells are primarily used in inline applications
on actuators or threaded assembles. FUTEK currently carries these models
in 1.0 mV/V output as a standard but can provide the new 2.0 mV/V output
per request. Engineering Manager, Richard Walker commented that “FUTEK
plans on phasing out the 1.0 mV/V standards over the next 18 months
making the 2.0 mV/V output a standard.” In addition to the high output,
the noted Pancake Load Cells are built for a long fatigue cycles.
Capacity options will be limited to 200,000 lbs utilizing a stainless
steel structure making them more suitable for harsh environments.
Options for amplified version and threading for both Standard and Metric
are also available. FUTEK also provides a Standard Calibration Service
in Compression (free of charge) for these Pancake Load Cells per NIST
Traceable Standards. A NIST traceable calibration certificate for the
product will be issued. The certificate will then be accessible for

accredited laboratory that can also provide additional calibration

resistor network for precise off-center load compensation in scales. The
junction boxes are used for connecting four strain-gage (SG) load cells

features include EMC-compliant cable glands for cable diameters ranging
from 4 to 6.5 mm. HBM has devised a shielding design that provides full
