PT9000 double ended shear beam load
cell from PT |
| |
The PT9000 is a medium to high capacity nickel plated
tool steel, double ended shear beam load cell for tank, bin, general
vessel, silo weighing and for weigh bridges from 120Klb to 150Klb
(approx 9T to 68T).
PT9000 is a fully sealed tool steel IP67 and 3mV/V double ended shear
beam load cell with combined error of only 0.02% all up. Linearity is
only 0.017%. Designed for use in industrial environments including
outdoors where the IP67 rating helps protect it from wash down and other
harsh activities. Bin, tank and hopper weighing is made easy with the
PT9000M TWA, Tank Weighing Assembly (TWA) a complete mounting accessory. ... |

Amplified Miniature Ultra-Low Pressure
Sensors for High Accuracy OEM Device Applications |
| |
Sensortechnics, HCLA pressure sensors combine high precision
digital signal conditioning with innovative miniature package styles.
These sensors are suitable for ultra-low gage or differential pressure
measurements from 2.5…75 mbar. The HCLA series utilises the latest ASIC
technologies to offer amplified analogue and digital I2C output signals.
Additionally, SPI or switching outputs as well as custom specific
outputs are available on request. HCLA sensors use a dual chip
compensation technique to achieve a very high offset stability and
virtually no position sensitivity in comparison to conventional sensors.
A 3 V supply voltage (standard 5 V) is available as an option and makes
the HCLA pressure sensors ideal for portable device applications. A wide
range of miniature single inline and SMT housing options allows for
space-saving PCB-mounting and maximum OEM design flexibility.
Sensortechnics customisation service can provide very fast and flexible
mechanical or electronic sensor modifications based on customer specific
requirements. ... |

SCHMIDT® Flow Sensor SS 20.60 FB /
High-speed sensor with 200 m/s ( 39.370 sfpm) |
| |

SCHMIDT has brought to market a new generation of the well-proven
family of air and gas flow sensors SS 20.60 with very special
properties: Measuring range 200 m/s, turn-down ratio 1 to 1000,
calibration accuracy 1 % of measuring value, sensor tip with high media
resistance, available with analog interface or Profibus-DP or Device-Net
interface.
The high precision and extreme turn-down ratio could be achieved due to
an improved electronic design and the new and unique SCHMIDT pressure
wind tunnel. The modular concept allows to select between analog
interface or field bus interface. The sensor with filed bus interface
delivers ready prepared measuring values like Kg/hr or m3/min and thus
disburdens the supervising PLC. Additionally the sensor gives access to
it´s status information and allows the PLC to inform the user about
defects of the sensor. Despite of the enhanced electronic and additional
connectors the size of the sensor remained very compact and makes this
sensor to one of the most compact flow sensor on the market. The new
sensor is ... |

Capacitive Sensors Connect to LabView™
Instantly, Transmit Data Sheets and Detect System Faults – While
Improving Performance |
| |
Elite Series noncontact, capacitive displacement sensor systems from
Lion Precision employ the latest in sensor communication
technology to make integration in data acquisition systems easy and
robust. The Elite Series features the CPL190 and CPL290 capacitive
sensors and the MM190 Meter/Signal Processing Module.
Using Virtual Instrument Drivers, Elite Series systems can connect to
National Instruments LabView™ to retrieve measurements and control
system functions. A high-density connector on the rear panel of the
system connects directly to National Instruments data acquisition
boards. Improved performance and added features also benefit users not
employing LabView™. Elite Series provides more than simple measurement
information: - TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheets): Communicates
calibration information such as calibrated range, last calibration date,
calibration due date, driver electronics serial numbers and associated
probe serial numbers. - Fault Detection: Alerts the data acquisition
system if the measurement is out of range or due for calibration. ... |

Closing Force and Mold Protection
Sensor for Injection Molding machines |
| |
Monitoring of the closing force and mold protection are important
molding process functions that have to be controlled or monitored. With
the strain transmitter Type 9238A... Kistler offers a sensor
that combines the measuring element and the electronics in a single
case.
It measures both small forces during mold movement and high closing
forces during mold closure.
The transmitter is easily mounted with just one M6 screw. The built-in
electronics have two signal outputs providing parallel signals
representing the force during tool movement and the closing force. This
allows simple integration into the molding machine's control system.
Both measuring ranges and other functions, such as signal inversion and
signal offset, can be preset with the software. Combining the actual
sensor and the electronics in one unit makes the assembly extremely
robust and provides it with maximum protection under the tough
conditions of routine production. |

On Closer Inspection: High Resolution
SmartCrash® Barriers |
| |
In addition to the proven standard 125x125 mm SmartCrash elements and
responding to market interest, Kistler has developed a small
force element that offers four times the resolution. Four 62,5x62,5 mm
sub-elements are mounted on a common base plate with this design. This
arrangement matches the external dimensions of the standard elements and
simplifies installation.
The new force element with its four 62,5x62,5 sub-links is initially
available as a single component version. Like its "big brother" the
sub-link is a Microdau® module from Kayser-Threde that conditions,
digitizes and saves the data. The modularity of the new, high resolution
SmartCrash link allows any combination with the standard links or even
bigger force plates on a SmartCrash barrier, so that the measurement
signals in the different crash test impact zones can now be represented
even more realistically in relation to their importance. ... |
