Leakage detection with ultrasound |
| |
The SONAPHONE ultrasound leakage detectors by SONOTEC recognize
fast, reliable and reasonably priced leaks and small leakages and help
so to prevent damages in compressed-air systems, vacuum systems, plants
and pipelines at concealed places and to save costs. Leaks and smallest
leakages generate, because of the internal friction, sounds in the level
of the ultrasonic wave frequency, out of the human hearing threshold
level.
Because of special ultrasound sensors can the SONAPHONE leakage
detectors “hear” these sounds. The sounds are received and converted
into electrical and acoustical signals. Because of the connectable sound
absorbing headphones and the built-in loudspeaker, it is possible to
hear the converted sounds, even in a high noise level of the
environment. The LCD-display shows the value of the intensity of
ultrasound. The ultrasound leakage detectors don’t only served to detect
leaks in plants, systems and pipelines, but also to inspect the
leakproofness of ... |

LSP – Sensors for Precise Level Measuring
with 3A Approval |
| |
With
the LSP 05x Baumer offers a reliable sensor for continuous level
measuring within the product segment Process Instrumentation. Due to the
3A-approved process connection, the measuring rod is suitable also for
applications in the food and beverage industry as well as in
pharmaceutical and biochemistry. The device can be used for all media
that have a minimum conductivity of 1mS/cm. The measuring method is
based on a low resistive measuring rod which dips into a conductive
liquid and sends a high frequent current to the tank wall. The voltage
drop between the rod and the tank wall is measured in proportion to the
length of the wetted part of the rod and its total length. This output
voltage is proportional to the tank filling level.

New handheld temperature probes with a
green retractable lead |
| |
The
type K handheld temperature probes produced by B+B Thermo-Technik
GmbH come now with a brand new green retractable lead and connector,
thereby identifying the thermocouple type for the user.. The handheld
temperature probes correspond to IEC 584-3. The new colour coding also
includes a smaller tolerance of the temperature deviation than the more
often used American ANSI MC 96.1 with its yellow colour coding. All
B+B’s handheld probes offer the highest accuracy class (class 1).
Depending on the construction of the various probe sensors they are all
suitable within a temperature range of – 50 °C and +1100 °C. The
handheld temperature probes are available as penetration, air, surface
and immersion probes in 30 different versions. Special customer designs
are also available upon request. ... |

e2v launches, the first ever true 4K
colour line scan inspection cameras |
| |
e2v
announced the launch of the new EliiXA range, their new industrial
inspection cameras. The new EliiXA multilinear camera is a true 4K pixel
(4096 pixels) camera, combining advanced features like row spacing of
only 2 pixels (centre to centre), a line rate of 18 KHz enhanced blue
response and three lines (RGB) or four lines (RGB plus a fourth line
either monochrome or NIR). The EliiXA camera completes e2v's offer on
AViiVA line scan CCD cameras and will be demonstrated at the VISION 2007
exhibition in Stuttgart from 6th to 8th November at e2v' stand number
4.C.60 (hall 4). The EliiXA camera provides a significant advantage when
compared to all the colour cameras currently available in the market.
The arrangement of one 4K pixel line per colour with smart management of
space correction, yields a true resolution of 4K and a high Modulation
Transfer Function (MTF), higher than single or dual line cameras
utilising interpolation techniques. ... |

PerkinElmer Expands DigiPyro Product
Family for Motion Detection Applications |
| |
|
New DigiPyro® Dual Element Pyrodetector Models Provide Standard,
Low-Cost Digital Sensor Solutions. PerkinElmer Optoelectronics, a
global technology leader in digital imaging, specialty lighting and
optical detection technologies, today announced the addition of two new
products to the DigiPyro® family of digital pyroelectric infrared
sensors, the DigiPyro PYD 1988 and DigiPyro PYD 1978. PerkinElmer’s
family of DigiPyro pyrodetectors are used for home and industrial motion
sensing applications such as intrusion alarm, motion-activated light
switches, and door openers. The DigiPyro family of pyroelectronic
infrared detectors offers significantly improved EMI immunity over
analog offerings. The two new DigiPyro models utilize the same dual
element configuration with an integrated A/D converter as other DigiPyro
product family models, but are now available with two new window
detection sizes. The DigiPyro PYD 1988 has a window detection size of
4.60 x 3.4 mm² and the DigiPyro 1978 has a window of 3 x 4 mm². These
provide cost-effective digital upgrades to the corresponding models in
PerkinElmer’s LHi family of analog pyrodetectors. ... |

Non-destructive testing of materials |
| |
The ultrasonic probes for the non-destructive testing of materials of
the product range SONOSCAN by SONOTEC test different materials,
metals and plastics for cracks, leakages and entrapments and measure
filling levels, distances and passages of solid materials and liquids.
The precise ultrasonic probes are developed and manufactured
customer-made, application orientated and in dependence on the solution
of the measurement technique. The development and manufacture of the
probes of the non-destructive testing of materials result from an
analysis of the requests of the measurement technique and the parameters
of the operating field. The customer accompanies the process. The
ultrasonic probes operate with a high-performance ultrasonic transducer,
this is adapted to the existing process-, control- and automation
electronics. The ultrasonic probes achieve excellent measurement results
with the pulse testing and the Doppler testing. The pulse testing means
that the ultrasonic transducer emanates ultrasonic signals and receives
the signals after the reflection. ...

Precision-Hygrometer TH309 with
USB-Interface |
| |
B+B
Thermo-Technik GmbH has a new hygrometer for the on-the spot
measurement of humidity and temperature in its program. In the
industrial field very high demands relative to accuracy, long term
stability and equipment are made on a hygrometer. All too often special,
to the application adapted measurement probes are required. The new
Hygrometer TH309 can be connected to 6 different probes according to the
requirements of the actual application. These handheld probes differ in
their measurement accuracy and field of use. It can be used for example
in the fields of climatic measurements, building equipment technologies,
process and quality controls etc… In the case of special applications
such as in the fields of compressed air/gas technology or humidity
measurement in silo works special probes are available. Continuous
measurements over long time periods can be easily carried out via the
USB interface and the B+B Thermo-View software (optional) installed on
PC or laptop. The hygrometer TH309 excels especially with its excellent
measurement accuracy of +/- 1 % in the complete measuring range 0 to 100
% RH. The measurement of absolute humidity and dew point can be very
easily carried out through a simple button click directly on the device.
Measurements of the dew point up to – 60 °C are possible with the high
precision probes. ... |
