Sensortechnics' New OLP Liquid Level
Switches Offer Very Cost-Effective Point Level Detection |
| |
Sensortechnics'
introduces the new OLP series of miniature optical liquid level
switches. These very cost-effective point level sensors measure the
presence or absence of liquid in a wide range of OEM applications. The
optical OLP switches use solid state technology with no moving parts for
highly accurate and reliable measurements. The product range offers
basic devices with analog signals, switches with microprocessor
compatible digital outputs, or high power transistor output versions
capable of switching currents up to 500 mA. The sensors provide
excellent media compatibility with their miniature plastic polysulphone
housings. Additionally, Sensortechnics can easily modify or customize
these products to fit special customers requirements. Important features
of the new OLP series are: - Optical point liquid level detection -
Solid state technology with no moving parts - Analog, digital or
transistor outputs for up to 500 mA - Excellent media compatibility -
The new OLP point level sensors are suitable for a wide range of OEM
applications such as medical equipment, HVAC, compressors, hydraulic
reservoirs, machine tools and leak detection as well as food, beverage
and pharmaceutical processing. ... |

Curve Viewer Module for CoMo-MIS for
Efficient Analysis of Stored Process Data |
| |
The
CoMo Manufacturing Information System (CoMo-MIS Type 2829A…) is the
database from Kistler for archiving and documenting injection
molding process data. The new Curve Viewer module loads and visualizes
stored process curves. This makes it easier to optimize injection
molding processes and boost product quality. As an important tool for
process and production data documentation for quality assurance
purposes, CoMo-MIS acquires all of the data from the CoMo Injection
process monitoring and control systems Type 2869B… from Kistler used in
molding production. With the new Curve Viewer module all of the curves
of the cavity pressure and the contact temperature can now be
individually displayed or superimposed. The interface of the new Curve
Viewer module corresponds exactly to that of the new generation of CoMo
Injection units Type 2869B… and is also based on browser technology.

New Barometric Pressure Sensors with High
Accuracy Digital and Analog Outputs |
| |
Sensortechnics'
new HCA Baro series offers OEM customers high precision barometric
pressure measurement with simultaneous digital and analog output
signals. They comply with the I2C bus protocol and can directly
communicate with microcontrollers or microprocessors. Custom specific
outputs, SPI bus or switching outputs are available on request. The HCA
Baro sensors perform precision digital signal conditioning and achieve
high accuracies. Optional 3 V supply voltage versions make these
pressure sensors ideal for battery powered applications. The HCA Baro
series features miniature single inline and SMT housings for
space-saving PCB-mounting and maximum OEM design flexibility.
Sensortechnics customization service can provide very fast and flexible
mechanical or electronic sensor modifications based on customer specific
requirements. Important features of the new HCA Baro series are: -
Simultaneous I2C bus and analog output signals - SPI bus, switching
outputs or custom specific outputs on request - Optional 3 V supply
voltage versions - Miniature single inline and SMT housings. Typical
applications of these high accuracy digital sensors include barometric
pressure measurement ... |

Valeo Raytheon Systems equips Jaguar with
Blind Spot Detection |
| |
|
Paris, France, Valeo announces that its award winning Blind Spot
detection system will be launched on the 2008 model Jaguar XF. The
system continuously monitors the rear blind spots on both sides of the
vehicle using radars located behind the rear bumper. When a vehicle is
present in either blind spot, the driver is alerted to this potential
hazard by a visible icon displayed in the side view mirror. This highly
accurate radar–based blind spot detection sensor technology works in all
weather conditions The system is expected to contribute to reducing
collisions with unseen vehicles during lane change maneuvers. This
technology recently received a 2007 PACE Award in the product innovation
category. "Blind spot detection is an important active driving
assistance technology that can help to improve drivers’ awareness of
their vehicles’ surroundings, and make roads safer. This innovation will
increase pleasure and comfort while driving", says Thierry Morin, Valeo
Chairman & CEO. ... |
