New ½” Preamplifier with Gain, Filtering
and TEDS for Automotive Noise Source Identification and In-Cabin Testing |
| |

Synotech Sensor und Messtechnik GmbH: PCB Piezotronics, Inc.
introduces a new model to its line of acoustic products. Model 426A11 is
a 1/2” preamplifier that operates from ICP Sensor Power. The
preamplifier allows the user to select 0 or +20 dB of gain and either a
20 Hz (-3dB) High Pass Filter or A-Weighted filter output response, in
lieu of flat unfiltered response, via two switches, located on the
external diameter. An overload detector senses both polarity overload
signals in front of the filters. The unit comes standard with TEDS and
is programmable upon request. Model 426A11 preamplifier includes both
A-weight and selectable “High Pass” filter, for automotive or aerospace
cabin testing requirements. The “A-weight” filter attenuates signals
less responsive to the human ear, normally below 1 kHz and above 4 kHz.
This filter represents how the human ear perceives that sound. To make
the cabin less noisy, a random incidence microphone (such as PCB Model
377B20), designed to measure sound from different angles of incidence,
along with A-weight filter, is the choice of test equipment. When an
“in-cabin” automotive test is performed, some manufacturers will ... |

Complete Product-Line Mold-Cavity
Pressure and Temperature Sensors |
| |
With the market launch of its new 1 mm temperature sensor, Kistler
now offers a complete product line for measuring mold cavity pressure
and temperature in the molded component. All sensors are available with
1 mm, 2,5 mm and 4 mm front diameters. Pressure and temperature sensors
with the same front diameter have identical measurements and can be inserted
into the same borehole.
The unique combined pressure and temperature sensor with 2,5 mm and 4 mm
front diameter can measure both quantities simultaneously. Sensors for
measuring the temperature of the molded component are used in addition
to mold cavity pressure sensors. Mold cavity pressure already reveals
correlations of up to 95 % with the molded part characteristics. This
can be increased to as much as 99 % by adding temperature measurement.
Kistler surface temperature sensors are equipped with a unique
thermocouple system in direct contact with the molded component
produced. This system, together with the low mass of the thermocouple,
makes Kistler sensors significantly faster than standard thermocouples ... |

Pullswitch - Conveyor Safety Stop Switch |
| |
Taut wire Pullswitch provides “failsafe” emergency stop protection along
the length of the conveyor. Compact double-ended design with five
changeover relay contacts, allows shutdown of the conveyor if the cable
is pulled or if the cable becomes slack. Internal snap-action trip
inhibits conveyor re-start until the tripped Pullswitch is manually
reset.
High visibility flag indication and “cats eye” lens provides quick and
simple location of the tripped Pullswitch under all conditions. Totally
weatherproof, IP65 dust and watertight rated, polycarbonate and
stainless steel construction. ... |

Submersible Level Sensors for Highly
Corrosive and Aggressive Media |
| |
Sensortechnics submersible pressure transmitter series
KTE3000CS offers high precision hydrostatic level measurement for
pressure ranges from 2.5 m water column (250 mbar). The housing material
is manufactured from a highly chemical resistant PPS plastic
(Polyphenylensulfide).
The transmitters consist of highly accurate and long-term stable
pressure sensor elements based on proven ceramic technology with
excellent media compatibility. All KTE3000CS level probes are
temperature compensated and supply a 4...20 mA output signal. A special
cable with an integrated vent tube allows a true reference pressure to
the sensor element, which eliminates errors due to barometric pressure
changes. These level sensors can be widely customised to meet specific
customer requirements. All KTE3000CS transmitters are EMC-compliant and
CE-marked. ... |

Watchdog "Elite" Bucket Elevator Monitor |
| |
The bucket elevator monitor for the 21st century. The 4B Watchdog
"Elite" uses non-contacting, magnetic sensors to monitor belt speed and
belt alignment at the head / boot or both. Additional sensors monitor
bearing temperature, head pulley alignment and plugged spout conditions.
The system incorporates dual microprocessor control, using the latest
PIC microprocessors and non-volatile (EEPROM) memory chips. An LCD
screen displays elevator status messages (available in four different
languages) and a super-bright LED screen displays belt speed. All units
automatically select supply voltages from 110VAC to 240VAC (50-60 HZ)
and supply the sensors with fully regulated 12VDC. Voltage free isolated
relay contacts are provided for alarm, stop, underspeed, misalignment,
and temperature. RS485 communication is also available for connection to
plant computers / PLCs. Simple menu-driven calibration and parameter
adjustment. Cert: ATEX/IEC Ex Zone 21 ... |
