SENSOR+TEST 2007 – The Measurement Fair,
Attractive programme from the conference to the action hall |
| |

The Measurement Fair SENSOR+TEST will be held from 22 to 24 May
in Nürnberg. The event is clearly on a growth course – the number of
bookings for exhibitors has already exceeded the figures for last year
by more than 10%. Besides the fair itself, a number of other events
associated with the SENSOR Conference, including the GESA Expert Forum,
workshops, seminars, and other dedicated forums, will offer visitors
considerable additional value. A special highlight is again provided in
the Action Hall (Hall 8), where visitors can experience sensor and
measuring technology live. “This year the SENSOR+TEST will again offer
comprehensive information for professionals visiting the fair,” says

Submersible Level Sensor
KTE6000CS with Extremely Rugged Stainless Steel Housing |
| |
Sensortechnics’ KTE6000CS series offers level measurement for
ranges from 2.5 m water column (250 mbar) Full Scale. KTE6000CS
hydrostatic pressure transmitters consist of highly accurate and
long-term stable pressure sensor elements.
The sensor is enclosed in a very rugged stainless steel housing with
increased wall thickness to withstand even severe operating conditions.
All KTE6000CS level probes are temperature compensated and supply a
4...20 mA output signal. A special cable with an integrated vent tube
allows a true reference pressure to the sensor element, which eliminates
errors due to barometric pressure changes. Custom specific calibrations,
voltage outputs and different cable lengths are available on request.

Tough Torque Measuring Flange Responds
Dynamically |
| |

Torque measuring flange, Type 4504A..., in test stand simulation. The
integration of a market partner into its group has allowed Kistler
to expand its product range. The torque measuring flange, Type 4504A…,
is designed specifically for use under the demanding and complex
conditions encountered in engine testing. This sensor comes with a
robust, contamination-resistant, fully integral speed measuring system
as standard. Other features include its slim profile, high torsional
rigidity, impressive dynamic response and high precision. There are two
versions of the speed measuring system: a simple 60-pulse design and a
high-resolution alternative that also allows angular measurement. The
high-resolution model uses 180 to 3 600 or 128 to 4 096 pulses to yield
an angular resolution of down to 0,02º at low speeds. The integral
digital measurement processing system makes a data link via the RS-232C
interface possible. This enables measurements such as speed and torque
to be read and the sensor parametrically configured, identified and
tared. Additional interfaces ... |

Pt's new tank weighing load cell |
| |

The PT9010WA tank weighing assembly is designed for tank weighing,
hoppers, silos as well as road and rail scales. The capacity ranges from
10,000kg to 50,000kg with a small footprint and a low profile. The
design of the cell via its central loading through the ball free motion
makes it less sensitive to side loads. PT9010WA is constructed of alloy
steel with all internal components protected by way of fully welded
encapsulation which provides for an excellent protection level against
the elements to a true IP68. The signal out at capacity is 2mV/V and the
PT9010WA has a linearity error of only 0.017% at full scale and a safe
150% over load factor, with 300% ultimate load. You will be pleasantly
surprised of the price of this load cell assembly. ... |

Measure Humidity and Dew Point in High
Humidity and Chemical Applications |
| |
Humidity
/ Dew Point / Temperature Transmitter EE33 for High Humidity and
Chemical Applications from E+E Elektronik. The NEW, highly
accurate transmitters of the EE33 series are designed for fast and
reliable measurement of relative humidity, dew point temperature,
absolute humidity and six more climatic measuring quantities under the
most demanding conditions. Neither condensation nor heavy chemical
pollutions will affect prompt and reliable measurements. Process
pressures as high as 100bar (1450psi) and continuous high humidity are
also no problem for the EE33 series. The core of this transmitter is the
new monolithic measurement cell type HMC1, manufactured in thin-film
technology by E+E Elektronik. Chemical contamination and also
condensation will actually evaporate due to the innovative design of the
HMC1 measurement cell. The monolithic construction of the sensor allows
a fast return to normal conditions and a continuation of the
measurement. Additionally with the inimitable E+E sensor coating the
HMC1 measurement cell is even better protected against corrosive and
short-circuit-causing conductive soils. Distinctive models and mounting
versions allow the EE33 series to be utilized in numerous applications
like measurement of relative humidity during temporary condensation,
measurement of dew point temperature at continuous high humidity,
measurement of relative humidity at continuous high humidity, ... |

Comprehensive Action Programme at the
SENSOR+TEST 2007 - Attractive offers in the action area and at two
forums |
| |

The SENSOR+TEST 2007, held this year from 22 to 24 May in
Nürnberg, again offers its visitors a most attractive programme. A
special highlight will be the action area (hall 8), in which visitors
can experience sensor and measuring technology live. Also, at the two
forums in hall 7 and hall 9, numerous lectures on interesting novelties
and podium discussions will be held. “The SENSOR+TEST will offer
professionals a unique information package this year,” says Holger
Bödeker, managing director of AMA Service, the organiser of the trade
fair. “We want to provide exhibitors and visitors with a platform, which
exceeds the traditional fair practice by far.” Action area highlights:
Especially in the action area, visitors can experience sensor, measuring
and testing technology in a way that is simply not possible at a
trade-fair stand. Live demonstrations, for instance with test driving,
show innovative technologies for real-life applications. And the
exhibitors are right there to answer questions. In interviews and small
discussion groups, visitors can gain insights in live presentations and
vehicle trials. Moreover, demonstrations of industrial technology will
also be held in the action area. For example, seven models under the
slogan “Sensor Integrated” will present sensor technology in motion. ... |

Barometric Pressure
Sensors for OEM Applications |
| |
Sensortechnics’ barometric pressure sensors BSDX-BARO offer
OEM customers very cost-effective and precise air pressure measurement
in the range of 800…1100 mbar absolute. Other measuring ranges are also
available on customer request.
BSDX-BARO pressure sensors are calibrated and temperature compensated
from 0…85 C and reach an overall accuracy of ±1 %FSS (including
temperature effects). These devices feature an analogue 0.5…4.5 V output
signal or, alternatively, a digital I2C-bus interface. The BSDX-BARO
sensors incorporate the latest ASIC technologies to enable a high
specification in small DIP-packages. Therefore they are especially
suitable for space-saving PCB-mounting. |

SENSOR+TEST 2007 - The latest on sensor,
measuring and testing technology |
| |

From 22 to 24 May on the exhibition grounds in Nürnberg the 14th
International Trade Fair for Sensor, Measuring and Testing Technology
will be held. It will be complemented by the 13th International SENSOR
Conference, the GESA Expert Forum, workshops, seminars, exhibitor and
other forums as well as live presentations in the Action Hall to current
topics in sensor and measuring technology. The organisers expect more
than 600 exhibitors including the technology and market leaders of the
respective industries among the participants. Geometric Parameters: The
detection of distances, positions, linear or rotary, is the most common
measuring task in device, machine, and system construction including
automotive technology. The measuring ranges of the systems exhibited in
Nürnberg extend from nm to km and from angle of inclination to
multi-turn encoding. Using a laser sensor, distances of up to 3,000m and
speeds of up to 100m/s for static and moving objects can be detected.
For this purpose, however, the objects need to be equipped with a
reflector. Without a reflector 350m of measuring distance can detected
on practically any surface. Foreseen as areas of application are storage
and warehousing, crane control, and fill-level measurement. For the
exact positioning on distances of up to 400m, a US maker is offering
robust digital ... |
