PCB Piezotronics Earns CE Mark Qualification for Sale of Series 4100
and 4200 Rotating Torque Transducers in Europe |
| |
 |
Depew, New York, USA – PCB Piezotronics (PCB®) has announced that
it has received CE qualifications for its Series 4100 and 4200 rotating
torque transducers, in accordance with European Union EMC directives. |
|
|
Sensors use non-contact, rotary transformers for sending excitation
voltage to, and receiving measurement signals from, the rotating strain
gage sensor.
The maintenance-free, rotary transformer design eliminates the need for
replacing worn brushes, as is the case with conventional slip ring type
rotating torque sensors. The units are an ideal choice for use in engine
and chassis dynamometers, fuel pumps, hydraulic pumps, drive shafts,
transmissions, fans, and electric motors. Specially designed units are
available for aerospace hydraulic pumps and motor, with flanges and
shafts conforming to AND 10262, 20002 specifications. Series 4100 and
4200 rotating torque sensors offer ... |

PT's new LCBB stainless steel IP68
bending beam |
| |
 |
On the basis that the serious OEM scale makers do not want glossy
brochures, expensive individual packaging or non basic additions, we
have launched a new high quality range of load cell Value Packs, the
LCBB. |
|
|
This LCBB bending beam load cell has a signal out put of 2mV/V of
excitation. The LCBB is made in stainless steel and protected to a true
IP rating of IP68 ie. (hermetically sealed) and with a safe over load of
150%. The linearity is only 0.017%, which means that they have a great
accuracy. They are ideal for belt weighing, marine scales, food industry
and in hostile environments, loss in weigh feeders and replaces the old
355 and similar models. The LCBB bending beams are supplied in set
quantity packs, usually in packs of 2, 4, and 8 or more. We have trimmed
all the non-essential fat off these load cells, however you can be sure
that nothing has been trimmed from the actual load cells, they are
precision tested and certified to meet all the exacting requirements on
the downloadable technical specifications from http://www.pt.global.com.
Each load cell comes with the standard PT Ltd serial ... |

New High Sensitivity, Triaxial DC
Response Accelerometer |
| |
 |
Synotech: The Vibration division of PCB Piezotronics (PCB®) has
announced new Series 3713, a high sensitivity, MEMS DC (steady state)
response accelerometer, capable of measuring accelerations in a variety
of automotive and off-highway testing applications. PCB’s Series 3713 is
gas damped, and provides micro g resolution and ±5,000 g pk (49,033 m/s2
pk) shock survivability. |
|
|
Several full-scale acceleration ranges are available, from 3 to 200 g,
with a frequency response from DC to 1,500 Hz (±10 %). The sensor
incorporates built-in conditioning electronics that provide
amplification to the sensing elements and temperature compensated
output. The footprint for Series 3713 is a 1-inch (28 mm) cube in a
welded titanium case design, with a choice of either hermetic connector
or integral cable. The accelerometer is well-suited for applications
such as brake deceleration compliance certification; durability testing
of vehicle radiators and air coolers; roll stiffness/static rollover
threshold tests; vehicle and component test chamber instrumentation; and
NVH and multi-axis motion test platforms. Any vibration sensing
application requiring DC acceleration, high resolution, and high
sensitivity, yet able to survive high g events, will benefit from this
new accelerometer. ... |

Reciprocating Machinery Protector for Continuous Vibration Monitoring
and Protection of Reciprocating Compressors |
| |
 |
Depew, NY, USA – The IMI Sensors division of PCB Piezotronics has
announced the release of the Model 649A01 Reciprocating Machinery
Protector (RMP), which utilizes the next generation of impact monitoring
technology. This two-wire, loop-powered, 4-20 mA transmitter detects
impacts from mechanical shock events, which typically occur in or near a
machine’s cylinder assembly. |
|
|
This technology is particularly effective on reciprocating machinery
where these high frequency impacts are often overlooked, or when
trending overall vibration levels. The hermetically sealed design can be
easily interfaced with existing alarm, control, and monitoring systems
such as PLC’s, DCS’s, and SCADA systems. The field programmable features
of the RMP allow users to customize each installation point, and tailor
the output to suit their application. This includes variable set points
and alarm levels for optimum performance. The RMP detects common
reciprocating compressor ... |

IMI Sensors New Electronic Vibration Switch for Alarm and Shutdown
Protection of Fans, Pumps, Motors and Critical Machinery |
| |
 |
Depew, NY, USA – The new Series 685B electronic vibration
switch from the IMI Division of PCB Piezotronics offers two set
points with individual alert and alarm levels. Many previous product
options are now standard features with this new compact design. |
|
|
In addition to having two solid state or form C relays, each Series 685B
electronic vibration switch includes a raw vibration output signal for
spectrum analysis, 4-20 mA output signal for overall vibration trending,
and unique 4-20 mA calibration feature, allowing for precise threshold
setup. It has dual openings for easy wiring and installation. Series
685B switches are available as AC or DC powered units. Variable time
delays prevent false relay trips due to machine startup or temporary
upset conditions; and the switch can be implemented into a variety of
applications, because of its ability to respond to acceleration,
velocity, or displacement. ... |

Miniature Quartz Force Sensor Measures Pressure on Injection Molding
Cavities and Other Short-Term Quasi-Static Processes |
| |
 |
Depew, New York, USA – PCB Piezotronics (PCB®) has
introduced Model 219A05 miniature charge output quartz force sensor,
designed for industrial applications where space at a premium. The
sensor is ideal for obtaining an indirect measurement of injection
molding cavity pressure by positioning the sensor behind an ejector pin.
The high stiffness property of the sensor allows them to follow very
fast transient events. |
|
|
They may also be used to measure short term,
quasi-static processes. The removable cable allows for a choice of
lengths and terminating connector type, and facilitates easy field
repair, in the event a cable is damaged. Full scale measurement ranges
up to 560 lb (2.5 kN), and compact size of 0.24 inch (6 mm) diameter x
0.24 inch (6 mm) height, allows the sensor to be used for other
applications involving compression forces, such as push buttons, pin
insertion on circuit boards, switches, and actuators ... |
