announce the Intersema MS5534B Series Pressure Sensor. Featuring a small
package of 9 x 9 mm square, the MS5534 offers unparalleled accuracy,
high resolution, and a wide temperature range. |

The Intersema MS5534B is a SMD-hybrid device with a piezoresistive
pressure sensor and an ADC-interface IC. The sensor measures from 0-1100
mbar (0-110kPa), and has a temperature range of –40°C to 125°C. With a
low power supply requirement of 2.2V to 3.6V, the pressure sensor also
has automatic off/on switching to save on power consumption. The output
of the sensor is digital with a 0.1 mbar resolution and a relative
pressure accuracy of +/-0.5 mbar. Furthermore, the user can also obtain

High accuracy vessel weighing with CTUS load cells |

The CTUS Series load cells with vessel mounting supports
from Applied Measurements has improved the quality and efficiency
of a complete soft drinks manufacturing plant. The production plant
produces a variety of soft drinks and associated products that require
mixing and blending. In consultation with the customer engineers from
Applied Measurements proposed that all of the mixing and blending
vessels should be supported on load cells to enable the process to be
controlled by weighing. The environment being very wet, including
regular high pressure wash down of the vessels and their supporting
structure, the stainless steel all welded CTUS load cells were chosen.
