High performance in an ultra-slim design,
Flipper 6650 solenoid valve from Bürkert is convincing in both 3/2 and
2/2 way version |
| |
The
extremely compact, fast switching media separated 6650 flipper valve
from Bürkert was optimized especially for reproducible and
precise dosing of aggressive fluids. The 6650 flipper solenoid valve
from Bürkert Fluid Control Systems sets new standards in the dosing of
fluids in analytical technology applications: With a pitch of only 4.5
millimetres, the valve is available in a 2/2 and 3/2 way version –
offers performance equal to or better than comparable 10 and 16 mm
valves. With the media separated 6650 flipper valve Bürkert presents an
extremely compact, fast switching valve which has been optimized
especially for reproducible and precise dosing of aggressive fluids. In
addition to a 2/2 way version with a nominal diameter of 0.4 mm, the
valve is also available as a universal 3/2 way version with a nominal

Pressure Switches now available with ATEX
approval |
| |
PEWATRON:
Since it is sometimes necessary to monitor pressures in areas exposed to
explosion hazards, the type 901 pressure switches by Beck and the type
930.8x differential
pressure switches where subjected to a design type test. As a result
of these successful test, the pressure switches of the 901 series are
now labelled II 1/2G Ex ia IIB T4 and suitable for use in zones with
potentially explosive atmospheres 0, 1 and 2, incl. gas atmospheres, or
are labelled II 2G Ex ia IIC T4 and suitable for use in zones 1 and 2.
The differential pressure switches of the series 930.8x can also be used
in gaseous atmospheres and have been awarded the ATEX labelling II 2G Ex
ia IIB T4. All devices have the ignition protection type “intrinsic
safety” and were graded as temperature class T4 and explosion group IIB
and IIC. With their certified design, the pressure switches of the type
901 are convincing in ... |

Laser Triangulation up to a distance of
2m |
| |
Measurement
technology company Micro-Epsilon has launched a new
laser sensor
with a 1m measuring range. The optoNCDT 1710-1000 sensor has a measuring
range that starts from a distance of one meter from the sensor, so
displacement can be measured at a distance of 2m from the sensor. The
sensor comes with an integrated controller in a compact 200mm x 83mm x
48mm housing. The diameter of the light spot is constant across the
complete beam path. With a measuring rate of 2.5kHz, the sensor is
technically superior to existing alternative sensors on the market,
providing 100µm resolution without averaging. 4 … 20 mA, 0 … 10V, RS422
or USB outputs are available. The optoNCDT 1710-1000 is used for
measurement objects that have a high degree of freedom or movement.
Other potential applications are in harsh ambient conditions, where the
sensor has to measure onto the object from a safe distance or if the
target is in a vacuum. The sensor also ... |

With
the MA 200i family, Leuze electronic brings simple and convenient
access to a wide range of network structures for all non-fieldbus-capable
devices. Furthermore, the MA 200i modular interfacing unit can, by means
of the available switch function, be used in a line structure with all
Ethernet variants, such as PROFINET. With the MA 200i modular
interfacing unit, the connected device is selected by means of a rotary
switch. As a result, it is possible to connect not only identification
devices, e.g. barcode readers or RFID devices, but also positioning
systems, such as the BPS 30 or AMS 200 systems from Leuze electronic.
The evaluation unit and the MA 200i connector unit are connected by
means of a ready-made cable. This eliminates the error-prone and
sometimes complicated wiring. The electrical connection of the fieldbus,
the inputs and outputs, and the voltage supply is established by means
of standardized M12 connections. An integrated switch is available for
all Ethernet-related fieldbuses, such as PROFINET. ... |

Energy-efficient ventilation with the
Climate Guard: optimum indoor climate with minimum energy expenditure |
| |
The
Climate Guard from J. Dittrich Elektronic is a network-compatible
multi-sensor system that facilitates demand-controlled, energy-efficient
ventilation for special-purpose buildings. It measures the important
parameters of indoor air: the
carbon dioxide concentration by means of a
dual beam infrared photometer (NDIR); the temperature by means of a
bandgap sensor; and the relative humidity by means of a capacitive
polymer. Both the power supply and digital transmission of measured
values are effected via an Ethernet connection (PoE). Since the Climate
Guard has its own web server, it can be integrated directly into a local
network or the Internet and data called up using a web browser. This is
ideal for automated buildings. All three measured variables increase ... |

Hydrogen detector with solid electrolyte
sensor improves fuel cell reliability |
| |
The
demands the
automobile industry places on hydrogen detectors are
scarcely realisable: they have to be H2-specific, exact, durable and
robust, have short response times and in addition low power consumption.
They are also expected to compensate for temperature fluctuations and
humidity. Now J. Dittrich Elektronic is launching a hydrogen
detector on the market that is capable of meeting these demands, using a
novel electrochemical solid electrolyte sensor. Contrary to an
electrochemical cell, the sensor contains a solid electrolyte instead of
a liquid electrolyte. At the three-phase boundary of the measuring
electrode the hydrogen splits into protons and electrons; the resulting
current flow is proportional to the hydrogen concentration. Since this
reaction takes place at room temperature, the heating systems required
for classic solid electrolyte sensors are not needed. The power input of
this handily sized detector (L65 x W36 x H16 mm) is correspondingly low
at 0.32 watts. It contains no moving parts; silicone, halogen and
sulphuric compounds do not impair its functioning. In addition, it is
neither cross sensitive to HC, H2S, NO, NO2, CO nor to CO2. The sensor
has a fast response time ... |

Ultra Low Noise Triaxial Accelerometer
for Modal Analysis, 3333A Series |
| |
|
Dytran Instruments, Inc. has just released a new series of
miniature
triaxial accelerometers, weighing just 2.3 grams. The 3333A series
was designed for modal analysis testing and general purpose
vibration testing, and has a robust, laser welded titanium design
which includes ceramic sensing elements coupled to ultra low noise JFET
electronics. The 3333A series is unique in that it features an ultra
miniature 4-pin connector. Compared to the industry standard 4-pin
connector (1/4-28 thread size), the connector on the 3333A series is
approximately 20% smaller in size. This substantial size difference
allows for a more flexible, lighter weight cable, a smaller diameter for
the connector, and also contributes to the smaller size of the sensor
itself. With a low end frequency response of -10% down to 0.31 Hz, the
3333A series accelerometers offer excellent phase response at low
frequencies. It also features an excellent signal to noise ratio. The
3333A series are available in sensitivities of 10 mV/g, 50 mV/g and 100
mV/g. Featuring a hermetic seal and adhesive mount, this triaxial IEPE
