and machine-building industries: The Model IS-2X intrinsically safe
pressure transmitter is now available with SIL 2 classification. In
order to enable the use of the IS-2X in SIL applications the most
important safety-relevant data have been determined and summarised in an
additional data sheet for safety-related data. These include the Average
Probability of Failure on Demand (PFDa), the Hardware Fault Tolerance (HFT)
and the Safe Failure Fraction (SFF). Process industry customers need
this information for a SIL evaluation of the complete scope of
application. For the requirements of machine building, MTTFd (Mean Time
To Dangerous Failure) values are provided in order to be able to

controller has been certified according to LIN1.3, 2.0, 2.1 and
SAE-J2602 physical layer specifications. Combined with the certified LIN
API’s (application programming interface), the MLX81200 is now able to
apply its proven TruSense sensorless technology in the growing field of
BLDC applications with a LIN interface, from sine wave controlled HVAC
blowers to 200W on-demand water pumps. The MLX81200 features the Melexis
LIN dual core architecture. This dual core allows customers to develop
their application code independent from the LIN task. The application
software, which runs on the 16bit application MCU, runs independent from
the communication task which runs on the other core. Validated
application code does not have to be revalidated when switching between

new CLW series detects point levels of liquids and granular or
pulverised materials without contacting the media. The user can easily
adjust a high and low switch point with a hysteresis of less than 25 mm.
The CLW device uses a new non-invasive
capacitive sensor technology and
allows for complete media compatibility and sterility. Due to its
miniature size these level switches can be perfectly integrated into OEM
devices. The CLW sensor can be mounted to the outside of a container or
vessel and is able to measure through almost any non-metallic wall
material. The level switch is highly flexible and can be easily
calibrated to measure to the desired levels, media and application
set-up. The CLW series achieves a very high accuracy and reliability due
to an additional reference electrode which compensates for all changes
in ambient environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity.

Micro-Epsilon
has developed a completely new displacement measurement principle with
its new Magnetic Displacement Sensor (MDS). In contrast to the widely
used Hall Effect principle, the MDS is based on a method patented by
Micro-Epsilon, which is based on a linear relationship between the
position of the magnet and the output signal. As printed coils are used
for this measurement principle, the manufacturing method does not depend
on semiconductor processes. This makes customer-specific adaptations
considerably easier. The sensors have an extremely high basic
sensitivity, which enables a very simple and low cost evaluation
circuit. With an
eddy current sensor as the technological core, very
fast, high resolution versions can be achieved. Compared to
Hall Effect
sensors, much larger measuring ranges (currently 60mm limit) can be

accelerometers are designed to measure mechanical shock events of up to
100,000g’s amplitude. These rugged miniature instruments feature
compression design quartz seismic elements for very high natural
frequency and ruggedness. On-board miniature IC amplifiers convert the
very high impedance voltage signals from the quartz crystals to a much
lower impedance level which allows these instruments to drive long

this front sealed mounted sensor is realized by using thermally
optimized piezoelectric elements and the special Double-Shell design
which decouples the piezoelectric elements from negative influences of
thermal expansion and other mechanical effects. The connection between
sensor and the piezoelectric cable is realized in M3 size. This makes it

structural deformations and convergences in an ancient burial monument
through a draw wire displacement transducer of the SX series with 50mm
measurement range. An ancient burial monument ca. 300 BC, was unearthed
100 years ago in the near of Thessaloniki, Macedonia, Greece. Over the
years the monumnet is becoming unstable due to ground erosion. A
solution to stabilize the monument was needed. The responsible Division
of the Ministry of Culture appointed the company “Neotek” a greek

solution. To accomplish this project, an accurat measurement system was
