for Continuous and Contact-Free
Level Measurement |

 Sensortechnics’
CLC series uses a new contact-free
capacitive sensor technology to
continuously measure the fill level of liquids as well as granular or
pulverized materials. The miniature sensor can be easily mounted to the
outside of a container or vessel and is able to measure through almost
any non-metallic wall material. The level sensing range of the standard
device is up to 10 cm which can be enlarged in special multi-sensor
configurations. The non-invasive design, with no contact between the
sensor and the fluid, eliminates all media compatibility and sterility
issues. The device is highly flexible and the user can easily calibrate
the sensor to measure to the desired levels, media and application
set-up. The CLC series achieves a very high accuracy and reliability due
to an additional reference electrode which compensates for all changes
in ambient environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity. As
an optional safety feature the sensor can be supplied with an extra
sensing pad to detect if a container is actually present or not. The CLC
sensor offers an analog voltage output as well as a digital interface.

latest, compact P3IC-series of pressure transducers are ideal for
measuring static and dynamic pressures with measuring ranges from 10 to
3000 bar. The transducers feature a measuring body finished from a
continuous piece of steel with no welded seams making them highly
suitable for general industrial applications. The P3IC
pressure transducer provides excellent precision and durability and
is available in high accuracy classes from 0.1 to 0.2. Industrial class
pressure transducers in the range are available with either standard M12
connection techniques as the P3ICP version or with fixed cable in the

Inspection of bearing shell presence at Volvo |

 optoCONTROL
optical micrometers from Micro-Epsilon are being used during
engine production at Volvo in Sweden. The sensors of the optoCONTROL
1202 series measure the diameter of bearing caps and therefore
automatically verify whether a bearing shell is present in the cap or
not before being mounted by a robot. The bearing caps are transported on
a workpiece carrier directly under the light band of the sensor. A robot
picks up the bearing cap and lifts it so that the light band measures
approx. 3mm to the bottom edge of the bearing cap. The transmitter and
receiver of the optoCONTROL are mounted with a distance of 1,300mm
between them. The optoCONTROL 1202-100 with a light bandwidth of 100mm
is used. The emitted light band is partially covered by the bearing cap.

Instruments: Hydrogen applications are known to cause significant
sensor drift in traditional oxygen analysers. The measurements in such
environments are not only false but also limited to certain hydrogen
concentrations. With the latest thermo-paramagnetic technology from
Michell applied to the sensor element of the new XTP600
oxygen
transmitter, these limitations are lifted. The special design of the
measurement cell eliminates transmitter drift and deterioration by
preventing the hydrogen molecules from diffusing into the sensor. The
new XTP600 oxygen transmitter from Michell was developed as a robust
self-contained oxygen transmitter for applications in various areas of
the process industry. The XTP600 transmitter measures oxygen content
between 0.01 and 100% utilising the latest developments in the
non-depleting thermo-paramagnetic technology. With no moving parts and

Amplifier THN which benefits as well of the associated patent of its

Miniature female thermocouple connector with embedded digital
conditioner. THN will work with any thermocouple probe terminated with a
miniature male connector. The embedded conditioner gives optimal cold
junction compensation, and delivers a high level output signal, free
from noise and interferences. Output signal is fully linear with 0.5°
max error. THN allows any thermocouple to be connected to acquisition
systems with normal copper leads, no need of the expensive compensated
