Customised Industrial Pressure
Transmitters |
| |
Keller
AG, the pressure measurement specialists, can meet spontaneous
requests from customers with expertise, thanks to its ultramodern
production, compensation and calibration processes. The Series 21 G is
the latest fruit of more than 30 years’ experience in
pressure
measurement. The pressure port and all parts in contact with the media
are made of stainless steel, Keller use an ingenious heat treatment
process to ensure maximum stability. Series 21 G is an excellent example
of our OEM products. The structure is highly modular, and the production
concept is based on quantities of several thousand units. The user
defines the key features as appropriate to the specific measuring task:
pressure connection, measuring range, temperature compensation, output
signal format, etc. Even in the widest temperature range from -40 °C to
+135 °C, the typical error band remains within 2,0 %FS (Full Scale). ... |

New Advanced Quartz Crystal Microbalance
Trace Moisture Analyzer Available From Michell Instruments |
| |
Michell
Instruments has expanded its range of sensing technologies by
introducing the advanced quartz crystal microbalance technique for
moisture measurement in gases. The PMA2030 quartz crystal analyzer
is an ideal quality monitoring tool for air separators, industrial and
high purity gas production processes. The analyzer is designed to
provide highly reliable, fast and accurate measurement at trace moisture
levels (ppbv and ppmv). The quartz crystal sensor of the PMA2030 will
give a 63% response to a step change in moisture in less than 2 minutes
(95% in less than 5 minutes). The wide operating range – from 0.1 to
2000 ppmV – coupled with the fast response of the PMA2030 helps to
monitor and protect processes to avoid damage to tools or finished
products by enabling users to react quickly to fluctuations in moisture.
Crucially, the new analyzer provides measurements that can be trusted
throughout its operational life. Michell’s advanced quartz crystal
technology, developed and refined over many years, gives a highly
reproducible and linear response to changes in moisture content. This
allows the PMA2030 to deliver class-leading accuracy of 5% of measured
value in the range 0.5 to 500 ppmV. Its automatic calibration system,
using an internal reference source, guarantees the sensor’s integrity
and accuracy by cancelling out the effects of ... |

Non-contact displacement sensor, Laser
distance sensor / “Adaptable
laser sensors with teach function” |
| |
ELTROTEC:
For tasks in measurement machine builders, measurement technicians and
R&D engineers require laser
displacement sensors with adaptable ranges
at highest resolution , high frequencies, all adaptable interfaces – at
an economical price. With the newly designed displacement sensor LDS 72
from ELTROTEC Sensor GmbH the above requirements will be perfectly met.
7 ranges from 5 to 250 mm for all technical surfaces, 3 ranges from 5 to
20 mm for
distance measurement on glass surfaces will be available with
resolutions starting at 0,6 μm. Adjustable frequencies from 1500 Hz to
375 Hz as well as RS 422/115,2 Kbaud, 4-20 mA and 1-5 VDC interfaces are
available. For each range the beginning and end of the measuring range
can be teached. This teached measurement range will be adjusted to the
full analogue output at full resolution so that the full analogue output
is always available – the latest development in this range. The 250 mm
range is for high-vibration applications available in 20 g protection
class – an advantage whenever high accelerations of large weights are to
be measured. ... |

Turbocharger speed sensor for high volume
production |
| |
New
from Micro-Epsilon is a range of turbocharger speed sensors for
high volume production. The turboSPEED TSSC series of sensors operates
according to the eddy current principle and so provide several benefits.
The sensor is cast in plastic and has a separate electronics unit, which
can be integrated in the engine compartment separate from the
turbocharger. Speeds of 200 to 400,000rpm can be measured accurately
with the sensor. Due to the complex electronics and special
linearisation, the sensor can measure on turbine wheels made from
aluminium or titanium. Titanium is well known as a poor electrical
conductor and is therefore generally difficult to measure. The
electronics for each turbine model is configured and fixed afterwards
for high precision. The low cost version of the sensor meets all
necessary requirements for the automotive industry. The housing is
protected to IP67; the electronics complies with the EMC requirements in
the engine compartment. Different from conventional sensors for
turbochargers, the new sensor does not measure on the shaft between the
two turbine wheels, since these are often no longer accessible with the
latest turbochargers. The turboSPEED TSSC detects the edge of the
compressor wheel ... |

Sensortechnics Develops Custom
Flow-Through Pressure Transmitters for Different Application
Requirements |
| |
Following
some specific demands from the Medical, Analytical and Industrial
Markets Sensortechnics has developed a new range of flow-through
pressure transmitters. These are designed for easy inline tube
connection and can measure absolute or gage pressures of a wide range of
liquids. Sensortechnics’ flow-through transmitters feature minimised
internal dead volumes for precise pressure measurement and handling of
very small sample quantities. The wetted sensor parts can be passivated
to provide excellent resistance against aggressive and corrosive liquids
as well as disinfectants. These custom designs offer optimised flow
paths which are also easy to flush and clean. Teflon® coatings to
prevent particulate adhesion and possible blockages are also available.
Additionally, in some designs, the sensor head can be separated from the
sensor to expose the inner flow channels. Special sensor materials with
high thermal resistance ensure compatibility with autoclaving cycles. In
addition to the individual mechanical design, Sensortechnics’
flow-through pressure transmitters can provide many electrical output
signals ... |

SenGenuity Announces TempTrackr™ Wireless
Temperature Measurement Solution with Multi-sensor Capabilities |
| |
SenGenuity,
the Sensors division of Vectron International, today announced its
TempTrackr™ Wireless Temperature Measurement Solution. This unique
measurement system allows for parallel interrogation of several
independent passive temperature sensors. Through use of independent
frequency bands the sensors maintain unique identification within the
system architecture. And because the sensors are SAW based they require
no power source. This solution is ideal for applications where providing
power and communication to the sensor is restricted (e.g. rotating
equipment, high temp/pressure/power environments, restricted access
locations, etc.). With unparalleled mobility, portability, robustness
and performance for real-time in-process temperature sensing
applications the TempTrackr™ provides a quick and easy-to-use solution
that facilitates providing system integrators and OEMs a platform for
customized solutions. SenGenuity’s TempTrackr™ Multi-Sensor kit includes
four (4) passive wireless
temperature sensors that are capable of
reading temperatures between 0 and 120 degrees C from a maximum
interrogation distance of 70 inches. The wireless sensors are powered by
bursts of RF emitted by a wireless interrogator which excite SAW
resonators within each sensor. A feedback signal conditioned by the
temperature is then created by the resonator and fed back
electromagnetically to the wireless interrogator using the same antenna
set. “Our TempTrackr™ wireless temperature measurement solution now
provides end-customers and system integrators with real-time wireless
solutions with batteryless temperature sensors that can be individually
identified ... |

Three new versions of Level Sensor Series
LS03 |
| |
MEDER
electronic AG: Three new versions of Level Sensor Series LS03 have
been introduced into the market to meet the wider demands of our
customers for special applications. These new versions are LS03 DL, GZ
and GK. The code DL stands for “Dichtung Lang” (German) meaning “long
sealing gasket”); GZ for “Gewinde Kurz” (German) meaning “short thread”;
and GZ for “Gewinde Zoll” meaning “Thread in Inches”. Different market
norms or usage customs have been also taken into consideration to
develop these three new versions. GZ Series has a thread that is usually
used in American market that even no sealing is necessary, therefore,
the cost is lower; DL Series has the norm more for European market and
suitable for low pressure and thin container walls, while the DK Series
is more robust in construction for a higher resistance against filling
pressures (up to at least 10bar). The new
level sensors of LS03 are made respectively of PP or PA, or both.
Under normal situations, level sensors from the standard LS03 series are
mounted inside the liquid container to detecting the changes of liquid
levels, but with more and more sophisticated and ... |
