Wtrans series from JUMO contains a new transmitter with M12
connection for adaptation to existing
Pt 1000 resistance thermometers.
Additional receiver designs are also available, which have two rather
than four analog inputs, but also have two relays for a variety of
monitoring tasks and are suitable for supply voltage of either 230V or
24V. The transmitters are located in a probe handle and are protected by
a watertight housing. The radio frequencies used are largely
non-sensitive to external disruptive influences and permit transfer even
in a rough industrial environment. The probe with a fixed protective
tube is designed as an insertion measurement probe and is available with
an installation length of 50 to 1000 mm. A platinum chip resistor is
used as a high-precision measurement element. On the transmitter side, a
functional temperature range of -30 … +260 °C has been achieved with a
fixed protective tube, and a functional temperature range of -100 … +500

load cells. The new DS-3000 four channel display is an integral device

user can connect up to four iLoad series

Electric: Baumer’s IFRH series of
inductive high temperature sensors
have been designed for operating temperatures ranging from -25 °C to
+180 °C. The two part proximity switches intended for flush front face
installation are available in M8, M12 and M18 designs with chromium
nickel steel housings. With an overall length of a mere 30 mm, the M8
sensor is ideal for installation under conditions of limited space.
Depending on the housing size, the nominal switching distance ranges
from a minimum of 1 mm up to a maximum of 5 mm. An FEP jacketed cable
allows the processing electronics to be separated from the actual sensor
head and to thus be easily and protectively installed outside the hot
range. The operating voltage range lies between 10...30 VDC, while the
protection class is IP 67. In addition, Baumer also offers

European Space Agency (ESA) to design and develop
pressure sensors for
deployment in a wide array of space applications. The product
development project is worth EUR 500.000 and is scheduled for completion
in the first quarter of 2010. PRESENS patented pressure sensing
technology enables extremely
accurate measurements of pressures under
demanding conditions. Due to several key properties such as long-term
stability, small size, large output signal, fast response and extreme
robustness, PRESENS’ sensors are well-suited for spacecraft
applications. Over the last few years, PRESENS has participated in a
number of research and development projects within the space sector. The
previous collaboration program with ESA resulted in space qualification
of a
high pressure sensor. This is now installed on the Swedish
